Mottaret. (Chatelet-just past Plattieres lift Station)
Tucked
away at the far end of the piste, this area has 3 great little
lunchtime venues side by side. We've tried all three. Each is
different but all are good value. They are very easy to
reach for beginners + each one has its own sun terrace. Be sure
to seek them out. They are all quite inexpensive with fast
friendly English speaking table service. The set menus vary each
day. Be different. Take the few minutes stroll across the piste
and avoid the 3 valley lunchtime rush hour. |

This Autrian style
restaurant has a very uncomplicated menu, good value and a firm favourite of
the Brits for many years. On a cold day sample the special Goulash
soup-possibly the best in the 3 valleys. (only €5.30). The Plat du jour is
€10.50, with a 3 course children's menu at €8.50. Duck lover? Try the Confit
du Canard (€14.50)! Lovely! The Rastro is also very popular in the evenings,
specializing in traditional Fondue & Raclettes etc. (+ after dinner
partying!)
