Meribel Ski Area

The Meribel ski area consists of  9 different sections.

Total ski area 150km.

Meribel Saulire ski area This ski area is reached from Meribel centre by Rhodos & Burgin Saulire gondolas.
Meribel Tougnète ski area This ski area is reached from Meribel centre by the Tougnète gondola, the Plan De L'Homme fast chair and the Roc de Fer & Olympic chairs.
Meribel Altiport ski area. The Altiport ski area is for beginners and is accessed by Rhodos gondola at Meribel centre or the Morel chair at Meribel 1600.
Meribel Village ski area. Meribel Village has its own direct Golf chair link with the Meribel Altiport ski area. It is possible to ski back to Meribel Village by the blue Lapin run.
Meribel Les Allues. Meribel les Allues does not have it's own ski area but it is possible to ski back from the top of Roc de Fer chair lift via the Villages blue run.
Meribel Mottaret ski area. Meribel Mottaret is a satellite village of Meribel. It has an enormous ski area with some of the best ski runs in the valley. The two side are Plattieres and Saulire.
Meribel Mottaret Plattieres Plattieres is the route to les Menuires and Val Thorens. This ski area has sunshine all morning but the ski runs back to the centre get very busy later in the day.
Meribel Mottaret. Saulire. The Saulire side of  Meribel Mottaret  is reached by the fast  (but busy) Pas du Lac gondola (2 stages) or the slow Ramees  and Grand Rosiere chairs.
Meribel Mottaret Mont Vallon ski area. This is a fantastic ski area, usually with wonderful snow conditions. You reach it by Plattieres gondola, jumping off at the 2nd or 3rd stage.
Meribel Off  Piste The whole Meribel valley ski area is great for off piste skiing &  snowboarding. Plus it takes only 20 minutes to reach Courchevel or les Menuires, and 45 minutes to reach Val Thorens. All these areas are fantastic for off piste skiing. All Meribel ski schools have off piste skiing groups with qualified ski guides and experienced ski & snowboard instructors.
Meribel Heli Skiing Meribel, as with all of France does not allow Heli-skiing. However you can catch a helicopter at Meribel Altiport and be Heli-skiing in Italy inside 20 minutes.
Meribel Snow Parks. There are two snow park areas in the Meribel Valley. One is in Meribel (the Moon Park). The other is in Meribel Mottaret. (Under Plattieres gondola).
