So Meribel closed again with fantatsic snow although this April the weather was not as good as usual and we had a lack of normal spring snow conditions. (Hot days and cold nights) We had a mixture of fresh snow, cold winter weather, plus some rainy days in Meribel town,showing that aprt from excellent snow above the middle staions the rest is unpredictable.

So..now begins the updating of Meribel unplugged. This will take place over the next 2 months,so by August should be more or less up to dat for next season.

Have a great summer and feel free to e mail for any info for next season. Accommodation,Transfers,ski schools, ski hire etc..plus of course restaurant advice..

This is the last real mole report for skiing as I have crushed my vertibrae..and my skiing is over till next season. I am told the snow up top is still fantastic.. but lifts close next weekend.... anyway.. The Meribel Altitude festival was fantastic.. .even though the resort was quiet. Next year keep an eye on dates..Well worth planning a trip to coincide with all these fabulous comedians..
Having had now first hand experience of a serious ski  accident I will add a page of useful advice soon to the web site. So that's it unless anything of interest comes up...keep watching and have a great summer...talking of which there are many activities in Meribel in summer..check them out.. the Mole..

What a shame..Fantastic snow last weekend..as good as any this season and freezing cold. Now it's raining below 2000m..so lower slopes are awful.

Keep an eye on the weather. More snow/rain expected next week so if it clears could still be fantastic above 2000m for end of season.

Right now all we need is hot days and cold nights for a great end to the season. Fingers crossed..

6.4.08. 11am.

As seems usual Meribel is again set for a fantastic April.It is snowing today and a heavy fall is expected tonight. The pistes above the middle stations are as good as at any time this season, with reasonable snow all the way down to town, even if slushy in the afternoons.

The Meribel Altitude festival has started with a bang and the next two weeks look like loads of fun, coupled with great skiing.. what more could we ask for?

Lots of bargains around for next weekend..catered chalets and apartments are cheap..e mail the mole for dtails..

April looks set for yet another bumper month of great snow conditions. No more snow is needed now..just normal sunny weather now to create beautiful spring snow conditions.The slopes are becoming empty, and in 2 weeks most normal apres ski will be finished.However for keen skiers there are great bargains now and we have the Meribel festival starting for 2 weeks on 5th April and the British ski races..so the place will be buzzing right up to 20th April.. Also great half price bargains on ski gear !!
