Meribel & Mottaret Snow board parks. There are two terrain parks in Meribel Valley for riders and freeriders of varying ability.
  • Meribel Moon Park. Tougnète.
Meribel Moon board park has two halfpipes. One of them is maintained at competition level. It has plenty of different level jumps, plus a 1300m  boardercross  with a vertical drop of 200m. In addition there is a fun park . You can purchase a Moon Board Park 3 day ticket which allows  access from the Plan de L'Homme chairlift at Chaudanne. The snow board park is served by its own Arpasson drag lift and is usually kept in really excellent condition for free riding.
  • Meribel-Mottaret Snowpark. Plattieres.
  • This is the main Snow board park in the Meribel valley and is very popular with both snowboarders and skiers. Take Plattieres gondola and jump off at the 2nd station. The board park is situated between Plattieres 1 & 2 and is served by its own chairlift. It has a vertical drop of more than 300m with 2 half pipes, 2 quarter pipes, 3 tables and 1 spine. It also has a 700m long 4 man border cross plus a test equipment chalet alongside.

  • Lunch:
    Meribel Moon Park.

  • Le Crêtes: Excellent. Take Tougnète gondola to the top for one of the best mountain restaurants in the Meribel Valley. Our favourite: Fantastic home made sausages in white wine 11 euros.
  • Meribel-Mottaret snowboard Park:
  • Sitelle self-service. Simple but nice food, sunny  terrace and not too expensive. Conveniently located just above Plattieres 1st stage.
  • Courchevel 1850.
The best snowboard park in Courchevel is on the Loze sector between the Plantrey chairlift and the Epicea draglift. The Parc Plantery has baby and half-pipes, tables, hips, and more. There is also some interesting and fun natural bumps to be found by Verdons-Biolley under the Biolley chairlift in the area officially known as Zones Thermatiques du Biolley et des Verdons. There is more of this natural terrain  under the Pralong chair nearby.

    Lunch:
L'Arc-en Ciel at the base of the Saulire Cable car. Reasonable lunch by Courchevel standards for €12.80.

    Val Thorens:
A dedicated snow board park is to be found alongside the Cascades chairlift. Access from the top of Cascades then take the Dalles run down. This snowpark features a 500-meter boardercross, with half-pipe, high jumps, tabletops, fun boxes, rails, and lots more. It is also open to skiers. There is also a border cross in the 4th Maurienne valley accessed by the Grand Fond Funitel.

    Lunch:
La Marine just below top of Cascades. Lovely Plat du Jour approx.16 Euros. A useful and much cheaper self-service area is located downstairs. In the centre of VT by the tourist office  are numerous inexpensive sandwich and burger bars.

    Les Menuires:
This resort  is very popular with snowboarders. It has a superb snow board park by the Boyes Piste at the top of the Doron chair. The half pipe is always kept in good condition and the park has been awarded   "Air Space" quality by the French Snowboarders Association. There are easy table and quarter pipes plus the long half pipe that sees real action throughout the season when many major competitions are held here. Well worth making the trip over here.

    Lunch:
Les Fermes at Reberty village for an excellent meal for €10 or try the delicious "Bavette". Steak in onions for €12.
