Just over the other side of Tougnète mountain is St Martin de Belleville a beautiful picturesque 14th century village. The runs down are ok for anyone except absolute beginners.
Many locals in Meribel rate St Martin De Belle Ville as their favorite venue for lunch. Be sure you make at least one visit.
As you ski
down the last gentle pathway towards St Martin de Belle Ville you will see a village down
in the valley to your left. This is NOT St Martin. This is St Marcel. You
cannot see The old village of St Martin De Belle Ville until you actually reach it. Ski
through the tunnel under the road and then turn sharp right immediately. A
minute later you will see the old church and the ancient village itself.

restaurants had been recommended plus new little gems were discovered. We
select all restaurants for good value and friendly service. Most of the restaurant
prices quoted were for past seasons so you could probably find a slight

Le Chardon Bleu Restaurant

Le Chardon Bleu Restaurant is also situated in St Martin De Belleville on the piste by the mid station. It has a lovely rustic interior and a beautiful sun terrace. Service is very friendly and food very good value. Try the superb Entrecote Steak with Cognac cream sauce. Price in 2012 is approx 24 Euros. delicious.
