Just over the other side of Tougnette mountain is St Martin de Belleville a beautiful picturesque 14th century village. The runs down are ok for anyone except absolute beginners.
Many locals in Meribel rate St Martin De Belle Ville as their favorite venue for lunch. Be sure you make at least one visit.
As you ski
down the last gentle pathway towards St Martin de Belle Ville you will see a village down
in the valley to your left. This is NOT St Martin. This is St Marcel. You
cannot see The old village of St Martin De Belle Ville until you actually reach it. Ski
through the tunnel under the road and then turn sharp right immediately. A
minute later you will see the old church and the ancient village itself.
