Fabulous snow.this morning.but no Vis..But sun has just come out..Anyone who braved the miserable weather this morning is now having a fab time...if you could get a break this week do..lots of B and B short breaks available..from 50e pp per night..
More snow is expected tis week so looking good for early Feb too...
Charity DJ do at les Allues Community Hall tommorrow night for anyone in town. All proceeds to Haiti fund..great good cause.Try to support it..

Still loads of Apres ski going on. Same bands...look at old mole reports...

Next report soon, but if sun comes out tommorrow as expected gonna go play in the powder all day.

Monday 25th Jan. 10.00

Yes, a fantastic week of superb conditions and empty slopes. As it is snowing today and forecast for all week next week could be another one!! Still some bargains around.Snow is really superb all over the 3 valleys, and should stay that way till Feb at least.

Natives Workers Challenge takes place on Wednesday in Meribel so sign up sap. Loads of prizes and a partying later. Go to Natives own web site for full details.

If you get to ski over to VT, make sure to drop in after lunch to the new terrace party venue..Folies Deuce , absolutely amazing place , on your right as you come out on the Plein Sud Chairlift.. But do not miss the last lift out.to Meribel...!! About 4.30pm..

Wednesday 20th Jan.

The past week has seen the best powder of the season and we now have approx 130cm up top..and good cover all the way down to the valley, due to very cold weather.Off piste has been excellent, although dangerous in places.Yesterday we skied Val Thorens and found empty slopes and the best piste conditions in the 3 valleys. Superb.And only 45 minutes skiing from Meribel. You don't even have to take off your skis!
As is often usual mid January has the best skiing conditions so far in the season and nobody on the slopes!!Take note for Jan next year and April is often the same.
There are still some bargains left for next week.and 6th Feb...but 13th Feb is almost full now. March is getting busy due to our 2 famous festivals on 13th and 20th. Ski Meribel is running the club class sleeper coach for these 2 weeks..right in to town centre from London. Best way to travel here.
Next report in a week or when conditions change. At the moment all roads are clear up to resort, but icy at night in Meribel itself.

Tuesday Lunchtime .12th Jan. 2010.
Yes..fabulous snow for the last week..and mostly blue sky, sunshine but really freezing weather ..-25c last week up top.
Pistes have been generally excellent all week, but as usual the runs into Mttaret get very worn and icy after lunch.
Powder off piste has been superb..light sugar,but we still really need another meter to cover all the rocks. There is officially 113cm up top..? It is good but I have not found that level anywhere!!

Snowing again today with bad viz..and more expected..so catching up on work after a week on the slopes!

Next week will be a great time to come out if you can..loads of bargains..and Ski Meribel has places left on the sleeper coach leaving Friday afternoon.
Plenty of apres ski..with great bands this season playing daily in Cactus,Jacks,LDV and Rond Point.

Next report after present bad weather ends and we have hopefully some new fresh snow to report.

HAPPY NEW YEAR.

Sorry for the delay in this lates mole report. Xmas and New year were very hectic making sure the new magazine was all over town etc. Plus parties every night.It's a hard life here..

So the snow has arrived and we now have loads for the next few weeks. Plus today -20c up top.and -11 in resort at 4pm..so cannons are working overtime..

Off piste is now ok in places , but best to take a guide or instructor. Pistes generally are now excellent all over 3 valleys.

All the apres ski is much the same as past 2 weeks, as is restaurant news..

Found a great new restaurant however in Les Menuires..Medzery...be sure to find it..great for lunch. Lovely people too..Try the Shark Steak..18 euros approx! Directions are to be found in my 3 valleys lunch guide..magazine..

Loads of bargains for January..but 13th Feb look almost full now.

March should be great with 2 fabulous festivals ...keep it in your diary..and book early.. 13th and 20th ...
