Wednesday 23rd Dec. Midday.

Mottaret was clearing snow this morning..after a nice fall last night and the next 48 hours should see much more so New Year week should be ok. Yesterday the piste was ok..but not brilliant but today looks great even though weather is poor.If you are driving be prepared with snow chains for Saturday in case and also be prepared for big traffic jams as Meribel is almost completely full for next week.

Live bands at the Ronny, Jacks Bar, Cactus, LDV, for Apres Ski. At night the Pub, Taverne have live music.. while in Mottaret the Rastro hosts the Rock Party Tuesday night as usual...

Restaurants:

Zig Zag in Mottaret is now an Italian pasta restaurant, Evolution has a great new chef so all the food is excellent. All restaurants will be full next week so book well in advance. On line with us if you wish. Just give mobile number, arrival date and resort address.

Pick up a copy of our 3 valleys lunch guide in any of the Meribel bars..It will save you getting ripped off anywhere.

So..if you are arriving this weekend, relax, you should have good piste conditions..but off piste is very dodgy..leave it alone..rocks are just under the surface..

Saturday 19th Dec.2009. 09.30.

Yes I seem to have lost a day in my calender. Up to date now..so today 19th ..snowing heavy..and look great for xmas week. Freezing cold too so cannons still working well.

Rond Point now has live bands every afternoon, also Jacks Bar. LDV at Meribel Village twice a week. Rastro rock party starts Tuesday night in Mottaret.

The Pub has live music every night in town..Jacks bar has theme nights. Pick up the Meribel Unplugged magazine in town for all entertainment guide.

Restaurants will be busy next 2 weeks...so reserve early. Need advice ? Just e mail us..

Friday 18th Dec. 12.00

Meribel is Freezing..(as is the UK) today. Snow is expected this afternoon and tonight with strong cold winds tomorrow.

Conditions will fine on piste for next 7 days.. as next week is expected to be quite. New snow is needed for the New Year week however as it will be full.

Après ski has started with the Ronny, Jacks Bar and Cactus in Meribel and LDV in the Village all featuring live bands.

Still a few places available in B and B chalet.

Off now for Fish and Chips at Evo..our favourite FRiday lunch..better than Harry Ramsdens !!

Tuesday 15th Dec . 08.30

Meribel is enjoying blue skies , sun but freezing temperatures. Finally got out yesterday to Courchevel, and found reasonable snow, and quiet slopes apart from the main run down in the bowl. Off piste is dangerous with not enough cover. We definitely need another big dump before the new year rush, but until then there is some good cruising to be had on mainly empty slopes..
Should get over to VT in the next day or so , which has some excellent conditions I am informed..

Sunday 6th Dec 9.30am

Conditions look reasonable for early skiing in the 3 valleys. Just arrived back so will gather loads of info over next 2 days...look back on Tuesday for 100% update ... Today is overcast and I don't ski unless we have fresh powder or sunshine (spoilt after 21 seasons). So will ask my mates how it is later today..from what I hear, quite ok..but not enough cover for any serious off piste..
