Barring any disaster, Meribel now has enough snow to last through to end of April above middle stations.Today the pistes were in as good condition as at any time this season,which has been a great one. Still very cold at night and even more snow expected over next 7 days.Off piste is very deep but heavy going in places, and avalanche risk is high.(4-5)

Great time to come out. British Ski Races, The great band Feeling , (EX Superfly) and the Meribel Altitude Festival.

Bargains still around with a Meribel catered chalet at 100 euros per person per night (short stays possible).

I have been hinting at a fab April for the past month and it's coming. We had about 40-50cm of new snow last night and more is expected over next 2 days. We have over 7ft at the top now !!. Get your ass out here sap if you want a late bargain ski trip..Load of bargains from 24th..Catered B & B and self catered..

Plus Feeling ...top UK band are appearing on Thursday at Rond point and 5th April is the new Meribel Festivcal for 2 weeks.. Music and comedy..top class..

Meribel will be rocking for next 3 weeks and the skiing is fantastic right now..

More in a few days..off now - off piste   x

A good dump last night.(about 20cm or so up top).means great snow for the rest of the week .And more is coming we hear. Conditions above middle sations should now be great for rest of this season, even though weather this week is not expected to be great.

Still April bargains..available..

Skied Val Thorens yesterday (together will about 20,000 others !!) Fab  snow..on upper slopes in all 3 valleys still,but very worn down low...More snow expected over the next week.so rest of season should be great above the middle stations...

Well worth a late weekend ski holiday...Bargains are available after easter .. ...

All Apre ski still rocking..Shibboleth do their very last gig for good in Meribel next Thursday.at LDV...after 14 years here..don't miss it..

13.3.08. 9.30am.

Last week was mixed but not too bad on piste..although busy..Yesterday was worst day of the season , Rain all day !!! But today is cold..blue sky and sun..and should be excellent snow above 2500m..= VT ..where we are off to shortly.. Will post a new report later today or tommorrow morning..Gonna go see shibboleth , back at LDV at 5pm..so probably 9am tommorrow..!!

Weekend looks mixed weather with snow on Sat night/Sunday..and ..with more snow next week expected on higher slopes....April is still looking very promising..

French holidays have now finished,great. Pistes are now worn and hard but the base is holding up, and last week was still very good over the hill in VT. New snow is expected tommorrow night. Will keep you updated.

All Apres ski still the same (great ) but also with arrival of Shibboleth for their 2nd visit this season. "Bring your sisters" really rocking the resrt this year too!!! Don't miss them..

Note: A few cheap studios have just come avavailable !!!

4.3.08. 11am.

Yes snow is promised this week. It has got much colder today with a small snowfall last night. Yesterday morning was actually surprisingly good snow above middle stations although worn down lower due to high temperatures and slush last week.

This week is last week of French Paris holidays so next week should see less crowds and better manners on piste.

Everywhere is busy though..so no real bargains till April..when snow is usually excellent plus we have the new Meribel Comedy and music festival starting on 5th for 2 weeks..

All Apres ski is same as previous mole reports..Great bands this season in usual bars..and Rastro Bar in Mottaret is rocking on Tuesdays as always..

Next report as soon as new snow arrives.. hopefully tommorrow!!!
