The past week has seen fantastic conditions..with superb spring snow yesterday..best of the season..Conditions on the upper slopes are superb..with over 2m snow..April should be fantastic if we have normal spring conditions.New snow is expected up top today and the weekend ..with rain in the valley...

The crowds have gone..but Meribel is still rocking .. Rond Point, Pub, Tavern, Jacks bar, pizza express, all have live bands..most days...Up in Mottaret the Rastro has just 3 Rock nights left..each Tuesday...This is a great time to come out..e mail us for lots of bargains..weeks and weekends..

Sorry for late report again..all the wifi cafes in Meribel seem to be losing access....must be too much snow as it's absolutely fantastic right now ..on piste and off... keep posted..but conditions really are superb,,today was possibly the best of the season..

Looks like a fabulous day on the slopes and great for next week with over 8ft of snow now on the top slopes. Just about to get out so will try to post a report early this evening on general conditions up there.

Mixed weather with occasional sunny spells but superb snow up top in all 3 valleys..Next 4 days should see more snow coming each day so next few weeks is looking truly fabulous again this year. April is now the most snow sure month of the whole season.

Snow arrived last night (20cm) up top.. 5cm in town..and looks good for this week..and next even if weather is poor..will keep you posted daily if poss.

Saturday 17th March

Winter is back with much colder temperatures expected and snow down to 800m tommorrow night.The local forcast is for bad weather for most of next week, with snowfalls till Wednesday.Pistes today were worn but in generally good condition although slushy during the afternoon lower down. The new snow will be welcome and should ensure a great end with April yet again being one of the best months of the season.

Sunny..blue sky again today and superb snow throughout the 3 valleys. Slushy in the afternoons as usual for this time of year below 2000m.VT is superb.

Local forecast is heavy snow and cold weather at the weekend (Sunday the snow arrives) so we are in for a fantastic end to the season. Check here on Friday if you are driving up to see if you will need snow chains.

Conditions yesterday throught the 3 valleys were superb..although slushy below 2000m after midday..

VT was incredible...one of the best ever days I can remember over there.. We have spring snow off piste after 11am..when it transforms..anf the pistes are wonderful.It is busy this week but not as bad as french vacations. If you can grab a weekend break I thoroughly recommend you get out over the next few weeks..Ap;ril is looking a great prospect with good snow on the upper slopes guaranteed now..barring any strange weather pattern moving in..Next weekend more is forecast above 2000..Keep an eye on this blog if you are driving out. I will post a snow chain warning if it's necessary on Friday..or before..

Friday's snow was fabulous witht the first spring snow transformation.. Try to hire an instructor if you have never experienced off piste spring snow..It's easy to ski and a superb adventure. 2 inches of sugar on a hard packed smooth base..easier thyen the piste..but timing is all important..hence the instructor..Off out again in an hour so will give update Monday if the wifi is working in the internet cafes ok..All were down yesterday..

Conditions are absolutely excellent with fine weather for next few days..and over 3m of settled snow at the peaks..March and April should be superb..so try for that leate weekend..lots of bargains around in April..

After a week of mainly poor weather this morning is fab..cold with sunshine and blue sky. Snow up top was superb last time I was out so will postr another report later.

Tommorrow will be VERY busy on the roads in and out of the region so allow plenty of extra time for your journey.If you are arriving try to get in before the late morning rush..and make sure you have snow chains as we are expecting some snow showers tommorrow morning. Yesterday was a fabulous sunny morning..with pistes in truly superb condition with 2 meters of fresh snow this week having fallen up top.Rain below 1500 means that lower slopes have suffered but above the middle stations conditions are superb and should remain so for the next month. More bad weather is expected this week with yet more snow above 1500m.At this moment Monday.12.15 lunchtime..it is dumping it down outside the Tav after rain in town this morning.. Late March and April could be the best spring snow conditions for years.. I shall try to give a daily update while conditions change daily..If I miss a day or 2 it usually means the sun has come out..!!

Apart from a truly fabulous Tuesday morning weather has been poor this week but snow up top is excellent. Today is rain in town but snow above 2000m with another 30 cm forecast for tonight. We will have had nearly 2m on upper slopes by end of this week.Should be great for next week.and all of March...next report when it all changes again but it looking great for next few weeks. If you are arriving tommorrow by car you should be ok with luck till Meribel without chains. Snow rain limit tommorrow is about 2000m.
