The bad weather has started and it is snowing heavy right this moment in all 3 valleys..Should be great for next week..more reports tommorrow..

Restaurants:

Le new Plantin ouit of town..is now regarded as the best in Meribel by most locals (but a bit expensive)..excellent. Refuge is still serving up great steaks and Pizzas...Zig Zag is still fab value in Mottaret..Plus Le Rastro has a new chef and food is now much improved..

Friday 23rd feb.

After some truly fab weather and good snow for 2 weeks some bad weather is moving in over the next few days with a mixture of snow and rain lower down and cold temperatures and snow up top.Looks very promising for March if we have a nice dump. VT pistes were in excellent shape this last week.

The big dump means Feb will be great but it turned to rain yesterday up to 2000m..Today is sunny so gonna go up to see for myself..will post report later....

Tuesday 13th Feb..

We have had about 40cm on top and snow conditions are now fabulous..enough to give us good conditions till end of Feb at least... Great to hear the avalanche cannons blowing in the morning..more is forcast over next 2 days with varying rain and snow limit..between 1300-2000m..but top slopes will remain great..

Thursday saw good snow but not enough..Fridays was absolutely beautiful conditions in piste..Now we have more bad weather and more snoe forecast for next few days..Will let you know if we get a really big dump..

The lucky people coming out this weekend are gonna have fabulous snow..It's absolutely dumping it down in the centre of town..snow chains are out...and much more is expected..will keep you posted..

Tuesday 7th Feb..

We have a slight snowfall yesterday and more is forecast over the next 7 days so could be promising for late Feb..We are expecting 10cm today on the upper slopes..Will post a new report as soon as conditions improve greatly..

Rastro was rocking as usual..last night..and the food has improved greatly this season too..

Friday 2.2.07.

This week has seen fabulous weather with good skiing early mornings but very worn pistes in the afternoons..Most runs are still open but more snow is needed for the next few weeks,however it is forecast for next Monday/Tuesday..

If you are arriving this weekend get the first lifts and enjoy the best of the skiing between 9 and 11am. Tougnette side in the mornings..then Saulire after 11am...

Most pistes in all 3 valleys are in similar condition..and getting very icy and worn by later afternoon...Hopefully more snow will arrive midweek..
