Meribel is now packed with English & French ..Russians arrive next week....snow is well worn but we have poor weather moving in and snow is forecast for much of this week.Val Thorens is still reasonable in places,but Courchevel is poor.Meribel valley is hard packed,,but luckily we have unlimited water for the snow cannons so there is still cover...

Apres ski is rocking..and Meribel is full of good bands this season...Should be some good bargains after 6th Jan..

So Happy New Year...next mole report when the snow arrives..hopefully tommorrow...

Skied yesterday. Mont Vallon is hard packed and very icy at top..but ok further down... Tougnete side not too bad in the morning, Choucas was in good condition. The runs down in to Mottaret very icy and worn. Saulire side is ok in morning but getting worn and icy by lunch.Courchevel is no better. We have snow cover so it's not a disaster but sharpen your edges and don't use your new skis, till we get more snow. I am using Evo interent cafe (non-smoking-great) so there will be now a report every day when conditions change, straight from the "horse's mouth" . Also the latest for apres ski and nightlife, (Meribel has lots of new bands this year ..) Fourplay are fantatsic this year...Godhead number ,a Duo are also excellent...Rond Point is rocking as usual.....Jacks bar has a great comedians night each week..Rastro Bar in Mottaret has it's first Rock Party on Tuesday...Plantin restaurant has just re -opened. Next report in a day or 2. Stay "Unplugged" for the VERY latest on Meribel... "THE MOLE"

Snow has just fallen on the top half of the valley. 2 weeks ago was quite a heavy dump but warm weather since has melted the lower snow. The forecast locally is for snow over the weekend. I shall post an up to date report from inside the resort Saturday evening. Then the next report will be Wednesday as I am travelling from Greece to Meribel for 4 days from my summer hideaway in the Greek islands. From Wednesday..a report every day when conditions change for the season..straight from the "horse's mouth" . Also the latest for apres ski and nightlife, and anything else of interest..
