French holidays continue but slopes are not too busy,although getting very worn again by midday.Local forecast says snow is coming this week and it was trying this morning..If so next week will be great. March is now looking very busy for bookings. Get in fast..accommodation is running out.. Apres Ski: Rond Point is still rocking every afternoon.. Jacks Bar and The Pub are night party venues. Rastro Bar in Mottaret still rocks on Tuesdays. Evolution Bar/restaurant is smoke free till 10pm..non smoking & great food.. Check out airport transfer sharing if you are travelling independent.. someone paid 390 euros one way for one person a few weeks ago.... found it on the internet (not here I might add!!) Lowest price one way here is 250 euros.. so sharing makes sense.. Next mole report will be Wednesday or Thursday.

French holidays continue but slopes were not too busy today.This past week were the best conditions of the season but slopes are already becoming worn and icy in the faternoons. This morning was still absolutely excellent on Tougnete side of Meribel valley..Local forecast says snow might arrive after about Tuesday/Wednesday.If so next week will be great. Todays was fab over in Courchevel 1650.This coming week should still be pretty good, but as usual we are hoping for another fall of snow. French holidays continue next week and true to fashion the Paris skiers got their new snow with more forecast for the next few days. We have had about 40cm on the top but it is also windblown. French holidays and English school holidays have arrived and true to fashion the Paris skiers got their new snow yesterday evening with a good dump up top but rain down in the town.Today is snowing above middle station but rain in town. Local forecast is snow tonight down to Bride Le Bains. French holidays and English school holidays have arrived and true to fashion the Paris skiers got their new snow on Wednesday. (We needed it badly and it looks like snowing for the next week.. whooopee..) Looking out of the window of Evostick...right at this moment over a few glasses of Eaglehawk, Peter White (The first seasonaire (old git) in Meribel.. circa 1983) says its looking fantastic. Should be absolutely fabulous for the 18th Feb holidays.. (and we still have some great bargains!! example: B & B only 275 euros pppw.) Just had a quick blast and slopes are still not too bad early morning but by afternoon very icy and worn.. rocks in VT also.. Couchevel 1650 is ok on the blues and Greens over here. Snow is forecast for next Thursday...hope its a big one.. Shibboleths last gig was fantastic as usual..at LDV...so big hangovers all round today..

First runs in the morning are still ok , but the pistes are very icy and worn by the Midday. This weeks weather has been cold and sunny with some snow showers forecast for tommorrow afternoon...we hope it dumps down.. it is badly needed... French holidays have started but surprisingly just had 2 days on the slopes without a single major queue.. Fab... Courchevel 1650 is still good..VT is very icy...The piste bashers are doing a good job here though so try to stick to slopes that have snow cannons or get out for the 9am lift. Arriving soon? Single airport transfers are now VERY expensive... so check out our new free and open to all sharing service... save loads of money. Lots of chalet companies still have fantastic (some half price) bargain holidays for this week coming (plus Feb 11th/18th) e-mail us quick if you want one...

First runs in the morning are still ok , but the pistes are becoming very icy and worn by the Midday. This weeks weather has been great but warm temperatures have worn away some more slopes. However as usual it seems like the French (Paris holidays start today) will get new snow for their vacations. It is forecast locally now for Wednesday. fingers crossed.
Meanwhile try to stick to slopes that have snow cannons or get out for the 9am lift. Arriving soon? Single airport transfers are now VERY expensive... so check out our new free and open to all sharing service... save loads of money. Lots of chalet companies still have fantastic (some half price) bargain holidays for this week coming (plus Feb 11th/18th) e-mail us quick

First runs in the morning are still ok ,but the pistes are becoming very icy and worn by the afternoon.This weeks weather has been great but warm temperatures have worn away some more slopes.However as usual it seems like the French will get new snow for their vacations.It is forecast for Sunday.. fingers crossed. Meanwhile we are enjoying fantastic spring weather here. January is always a good bet for cheap holidays and good snow. Arriving soon?
