First runs in the morning are still ok ,but the pistes are becoming very icy and worn by the afternoon.After some cloudy days the weather is now sunny again with warmer temperatures. Seems like we missed the snow..(lyon had 50cm!!). luckily the resort is still quiet with no lift queues.. Next week French vacations start..It will be very busy so we all hope for some new snow this week. Arriving soon? First runs in the morning are still ok ,but the pistes are becoming very icy and worn by the afternoon. The weather is still sunny but VERY cold so the cannons are still churning out each night.Snow was forecast but we have had just a sprinkling and it is now badly needed.. More light snow is forecast locally over the weekend.The resort is still quiet with no lift queues..

Most pistes in the 3 Valleys are still in fairly good condition. First runs in the morning are best as usual, with the pistes becoming icy and worn by the afternoon now. The weather is still sunny but VERY cold so the cannons are still churning out each night.More snow will be needed for French vacations (4th Feb) but they are usually lucky...

Most pistes in the Meribel Valley are now in really excellent condition. The last two days have been quite incredible.. Hence the late posting of an update. We have all been out on the slopes..
It's looking truly fabulous for next week but off piste is still dangerous as snow cover is still not sufficient to cover all the rocks, plus we have had avalanches over the past 48 hours.

Most pistes in the Meribel Valley are now in really excellent condition. We have now had 25-30cm of new snow and we are expecting a little more this evening.
Tommorrow & Friday should be fantastic with sun and blue skies forecast....
Meribel is very quiet this week ,no crowds or queues anywhere.Its looking truly fabulous for next week Off piste is still dangerous as snow cover is still not sufficient to cover all the rocks.

Most pistes in the Meribel Valley are today in really excellent condition. We had 10cm of new snow last night and we are expecting more over the next two days.It was definetly needed.
Meribel is very quiet this week ,no crowds or queues anywhere.Its looking good for next week

Most pistes in the Meribel Valley are still in excellent condition in the mornings but get worn and icy in the afternoons.
Meribel is better than Courchevel this year.. (apart from 1650) Rumour has it that Courchevel is running low on water for their snow cannons. Too many hotels with swimming pools and saunas..!! VT is still fab apart from the main run in to the centre...St Martin is great all the way down although Jerusalem is closed. The red and black in to La Tania are a nightmare. Take the blue.
The local forecast here now says sun for the weekend... but luckily its still cold at nights so the snow is holding up fairly well and the resort is very quiet. No crowds or queues anywhere.
Off piste is still dangerous as snow cover is not sufficient to cover all the rocks. We have approx 85cm at the top.
This week and next week should be fairly ok even without any new snow.

Most pistes in the Meribel Valley are still in excellent condition in the mornings but get worn and icy in the afternoons.
